spent their honeymoon on the train heading for IN.
She sewed almost everything she wore. She lived in Somerset LA for a time when
she was growing up.
Ralph Deardorff died
at the V. A. Hospital in Coral Gables FL, cause of death cerebral hemorrhage,
due to hypertensive cerebro-vascular disease, and bronchopneumonia. He was a
Pvt. in Co. K 38th Infantry in World War 1, buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery at
Greenwood MS.

Ralph Orie Deardorff
served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, as a 1st Lt. in
5th Air Force. Enlisted in Army Sept. 12, 1941.He flew B-17s and B-24s in the
Pacific Theater. He is buried in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Milford OH. He was a
graduate of Drew High School at Drew MS. He worked at the Delta Theatre in
Ruleville MS while in high school. He was a retired pilot for Travel-A-Go-Go,
stopped flying in 1985. He was a lifelong Southern Baptist. He was a member of
the Air Line Pilots Association and a member of American Legion Post No.218 in
Middletown. He was written up in the book called Who's Who in Aviation and
Aerospace, U.S. Edition 1983.
